Description |
The sarod is a stringed instrument, used mainly in Hindustani music. Along with the sitar, it is among the most popular and prominent instruments. Diptavo, a PhD student in Biostatistics at the University of Michigan has been playing Sarod since he was 11 years old. His first guru was Shree Jayanta Raychaudhury, a disciple of Pt. Radhika Mohan Maitreya. For his lecture/demonstration Diptavo will play three short compositions of 10-12 mins. |
